Pop Art Inspiration...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Well I've always wanted to try this because for one thing I'm a bit of a comic nerd and second of all I love Pop Art! The cool thing about this look is that I only used four products. FOUR! So here we go, I started with my eyebrows. I actually used Annabelle's instaglam liquid eyeliner in abyss which is more like a black marker in my opinion. I also used this to outline my face and ear and neck and nose. Next I used Clinique's pretty easy liquid eyeliner pen around my eyes and to form my winged eyes. This is seriously my most favorite eyeliner EVER . Like it says in the name it's honestly the easiest eyeliner I've ever used. It's precision is amazing and let's you get real close to your lash line and stays on all day. No flaking, no smudging, it wonderful! I then create the pixel look with white liquid eyeliner by NYX you can put as many or as little dots as you want. I've seen some people use red dots but I find that too distracting. My favorite part of this look is the comic lips! I used Sephora's rouge cream lip stain which begins as a liquid and turns into a matte. This stays on all day! I then outlined it in black with the pretty easy eyeliner pen again and drew a line in the middle of my lips and then short vertical lines also in black. To finish it I used the white liner again to give your lips that wet glossy comic look. It also helps with the demention of the look. So It is simply that easy to re create this look! Have a good night everyone!

Flower Petal Inspired Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Just letting you know that there's only 3 days left for Clinique's gift with purchase. So hurry in and grab yours today. Minimum purchase is $31 and then you receive a 7 piece giftset!!! So please come see me at the Bay for this wonderful opportunity. So this morning I was scrolling through Pinterest to get a little make up inspiration and I always enjoy seeing my favorite make up artist Linda Hallberg because she has so many ideas and lets face it she's absolutely gorgeous! Anyways it's funny how I was inspired by one of her make up posts but then as I was blow drying my hair today I was also inspired by a butterfly picture that I had taken and then looked at flower pictures and this is the look that I came up with thinking about those three things . I'm excited to share with you so many new products that I absolutely love and I hope you will love too. So the first product I want to talk to you about is Clinique's 7 day scrub. The thing that I love about this face scrub is that its so versitle. I suggest using it a few times a week so your skin will get that extra clean feeling and your skin will look amazing afterwards. But today I just used it for my lips to get rid of any dead skin leaving my lips feel nice and soft. I then used Clinique's All about lips lip treatment which deflakes, delines, and gives your lips that extra bit of moisture and smooth look also stops your lipstick from bleeding! Such a wonderful product !!! Next I tried a sample of Guerlains meteorites pearl light-diffusing perfecting primer! This primer is pretty nice it gives your skin that extra glow! Next I used my usual perfectly real foundation and all about eyes concealer by Clinique these products are staples in my beauty routine. For my eye's I placed Clinique's skinny stick in the shade angel hair on my bottom water line. Beauty tip putting white on your waterline opens up your eyes and makes them brighter! I love how smooth this product goes on and well I'm always a fan of white eyeliner! Another new product I used was Clinique's all about shadow 8-pan palette called wear everywhere pinks! I used the lightest color for my base all over the eye. In my crease I used the second lightest color in a lilac color and then I put a dark purple along my lashline all in the same palette. There is so many gorgeous colors in the palette its hard to choose which ones to pick! The dots around my eyes I formed a flower petal type shape using Clinique's pretty easy liquid eyelining pen. I could talk about this product for hours! I've been using it for the last week almost everyday and like it says in the title its the easiest liquid liner I have ever used in my life. I love that I can get right close to my lashline, I feel like I can wing my eyeliner so much better and overall have much more control of where my color is going. The most important feature of this pen is that it LASTS ALL DAY!!! I literally have to scrub it off! Seriously if you are looking for a new eyeliner try this product is will change your life! For mascara I used Clinique's High Impact Mascara. This mascara is actually growing on me. At first I was more of a high impact extreme volume fan and I still very much love that mascara but the regular high impact is nice too it makes my lashes look pretty. Next I used Clinique's sculptionary cheek contouring palette in defining pinks to give my skin a nice light glow to my cheeks. Finally for my lips I used Kat Von D's studded kiss lipstick in the shade coven. I had recently picked up Kat Von D's Mi Vida Loca lipstick giftset via sephora and this was one of the colors in the set . I love this lilac color when you want a more playful look and the cool thing about these lipsticks is that they smell like vanilla! So there you are folks for this week's blog. Again make sure you come visit me at the bay to try all these wonderful new products at Clinique counter.

Business Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

So I would like to start off by saying that starting tomorrow Clinique will begin our Fall Gift with Purchase at the Bay. So If you make a Clinique purchase of $31 or more you will receive a 7 piece giftset which includes the following: mild liquid face soap, loose powder, high impact mascara, smart serum, matte peony lipstick, a cosmetic bag, and your choice between repairwair uplifting cream or even better moisturizer. So be sure to come visit me at my counter to pick up a few items and I look forward to seeing you. This week's look is a nice natural look that would be great for a job interview or your everyday business look. I use Clinique's perfectly real shade 01 foundation and their all about eyes concealer. Next I used Clinique's hefty highlighter around my eyes and orbital bone in a shape of a C to give my skin a glow. After that I used Clinique's cheekpop in the shade gingerpop. I love this color because its a natural color that is good to use in every season. For my eye's I used Clinique's chubby eye sticks in bountiful beige for my base and biggest blossom for the bottom part of my lid. This gives you that next to nothing look that is nice a natural as if you weren't wearing any makeup at all. Sometimes less is more so speak . I like these sticks because they last a long time throughout the day and they don't crease. For my eyeliner I used Clinique's quickliner in intense ebony but because I used the chubby eyesticks this actually softened my eyes all together. For mascara I thought I would switch it up a bit by using Clinique's Lash Power Feathering Mascara. This is a smudge resistant mascara that lasts 24 hours and you must use warm water to remove it. So if you are looking for a mascara that will last this is a very good choice. For my lips I used Clinique's bamboo pink. I like this color because its subtle and gives you just the right about of color. I also find it lasts a long time through out the day. Last but not least I finally have tried Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow promade in medium brown. I've seen so many instagram posts with this style of brow color and it glides so smoothly on your brow. It is heat and sweat resistant and it easily smoothes and gives just the right amount of shape to your brow. So I highly recommend this product. Thank you for all the support and yes my youtube channel is still coming but I am still working out the kinks. Thank you for your patience. and Please come and see me from September 15-October 6th to pick up your gifts! :)

Smoke Show Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

Oh my goodness has it seriously been a month since I last posted?! Wow I am sorry. This summer has been busy with visiting family and work and all that fun stuff. I also was planning on using this week's blog to start my own youtube channel to have a closer look of exactly how I create a look. Sadly at my first attempt it didn't record properly so I will have to try another week. So this week is all about smokey eyes and of course bold lips. Some more brand new products for ya such as Smashbox's foundation primer. I never used to wear foundation primer but wow has it made a difference. Especially in these high temperatures that we have been experiencing. Before my make up use to literally melt off my face when it would get too warm . With Smashbox's primer my foundation lasts longer and goes on smoother. It also reduces the appearance of fine lines and pores while imparting a matte finish. Then I use Clinique's all about eyes concealer for any blemishes . It also helps disguise dark circles and appearance of puffiness so thats always a bonus. Next is Clinique's perfectly real foundation which is always a winner in my books. I also started using Smashbox eyeshadow primer which helps your eyeshadow to stay on loner and doesn't crease. I have noticed a huge difference in the longevity of my eyeshadow and it lasts all day now. Yesterday I picked up estee lauder's pure color envy sculpting eyeshadow 5 color palette in Infamous Sky . I used the light grey for my base, the light brown as my medium shade and the navy blue for the smokey appearance. In the corner's of the inside of my eye I used Lancome's new hypnose ombre shadow sticks to brighten the eye.  I used NYX liquid liner on my lashline and Clinique's high impact mascara . This is one of Clinique's number one selling mascara. For my brow's I used Clinique's superfine browliner in soft brown to make my features more distinct. For my cheek's I used Clinique's chubbystick color balm in robust rhubarb. You want to make sure it goes all the way to the top of your ear almost to create a sculpted look. Then underneath I used Clinique's bronzer in sunkissed to contour. Last but not least For my lips I used Jeffree Star velour liquid lipstick in Blue Velvet. It starts out as a liquid and turns into a matte. I absolutely love this bold shade that will make anyone look fierce! I always love Jeffree Star products because they LAST. Well until next time!

Beach Day Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So today I went out with my girlies for a fabulous beach day . So I figured I would do a blog on some simple and fun beach day make up. I was also excited to try out some of Lancome's brand new ombre hypnose stylo's ! These eyeshadow sticks are seriously the best. I've tried a few different eyeshadow sticks like the covergirl ones or the almay shadow sticks but The Lancome one's are AMAZING! I first used Lancome's hypnose stylo in shade Or Inoubliable as the base and then I shaded the rest of my eye with another stylo in Erika F, which is a gorgeous light green. I thought these stylo's would maybe crease after awhile considering I laid on the beach all day . I figured it would happen eventually but no it stayed in place and I literally had to scrub it off . So this product works so good! I used my new quickliner in intense charcoal by Clinique. I've actually have received quite a few compliments at work on this color of eyeliner. Really you can't go wrong with these eyeliners . It's a staple in my beauty routine. Next I used my favorite mascara: Clinique's high impact extreme volume mascara to give those bold lashes! Now for some glow I used my brand new chubby stick sculpting highlight stick in hefty highlight. Just to give a little bit of shimmer above the cheekbone. I'm still getting the hang of the art of contouring but this stick is pretty handy! To give my cheeks a little bit of light color I used my chubby stick color balm in robust rhubarb. Last but not least on my lips I didn't want anything too wild . After all I'm only going to the beach so I used Revlon's color stay moisture stain in miami fever. This is a beautiful color but the stain doesn't last very long. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Until next week!

Mermaid Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So I'm excited about this week's blog because I have so many new products to share with you! First I have Revlon's Photoready impressionist palette! I started with the lightest color for the base then the light brown on most of the lid. I then used the dark brown for the crease and then the top color for highlight. I have 3 of the photoready palettes and quite like them they stay on pretty good. Also new this week is Lancome's 24 hour artliner in turquoise in which I did a mermaid style fin in the corners of my eyes for eyeliner also across the lash line. Really liking this product because like it says it stays on all day and you literally have to scrub it off. I used the most popular Clinique High Impact mascara which gives a nice natural look for your lashes. I also use Clinique's superfine liner for brows to give a nice clean look for my brows this also stays on all day! So if you're looking for a good brow pencil come get yours today at Clinique. For cheeks I used Lancome's blush subtil in blushing tresor to give just a little bit of color. Next I have a brand new lipliner by Lancome and seriously everyone needs one of these because it's a clear lipliner. So the benefit of this you can use it with ANY lipstick you want!!! For a person that doesn't really buy lipliner this is the perfect treat for you because no more having to sift through 20 different shades of lipliner to get that perfect look all you need is one lipliner. It's called le lipstique lipcolouring stick with brush in shade clair. Last but not least my Jeffree Star velour liquid lipsticks finally came in the mail!!! So the color I'm wearing is called celebrity skin (soft brown) , So basically it goes on as a liquid but turns into a soft matte. I know some people say they have had issues of it coming off after eating food but I tried it and it was completely fine. It also lasts a long time so I would for sure recommend this lipstick. Thanks for your support to all my readers and I hope you enjoyed this week's look.

Brightened Eyes..

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So I was shopping in London Drugs last night because I remembered that they were getting a whole bunch of new NYX products and I thought I would check it out to see if a few of the items I had seen online would be there. Sure enough what I've been patiently waiting for is WHITE LIQUID EYELINER! yes! This is one of the products that every make up artist needs in her arsenal of makeup. Why you might ask? Because white eyeliner makes the illusion of making your eyes bigger and brighter! So to achieve this look I wanted to play a little more on the dramatic side of course. So obviously you don't need that much white eyeliner to achieve your goal of brightening your eye. All you need is to put the white in your inner water lash line on the bottom lid. Which is what I started with. It's that easy to brighten your eye but I put a lot more on just to intensify my look. So then I put a white line across my top lashline then black underneath and over top each line. Both liquid liners I used by NYX cosmetics. It dries fast so you have to be quick to achieve the look you want. Next I used my favorite mascara Clinique's extreme volume high impact mascara in extreme black. This gives your lashes that bold look. For my brows I used Clinique's superfine liner for brows in soft brown. This gives your brows a smooth and cleaner look. Last but not least I also tried NYX new simply vamp lip cream  in bewitching! Also the vamp line has so many amazing colors! so I totally love this new color. It keeps your lips moisturized and it lasts a long time. It's that easy! Hope you enjoy this look and I'm so sorry I missed last week! Love Ya!

Retro Glam Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

One of my all time favorite make up looks is retro glam pin up make up!!! So I thought I would give it a go today and tried a few more new products. So first I put on my perfectly real foundation by Clinique. Today I bought the chubby stick sculpting highlight in hefty highlight. I'm just starting to get into contouring so I'm still learning but for now I just highlight just above the cheekbone. I really like this product because it blends really well. Then I tried a new soft-pressed powder blusher in Fig. Which is also by Clinique, I really enjoy this shade and I think it would look great on anyone! So that just goes directly under your highlighting to give your cheeks a little bit of color. Then to finish contouring I use Clinique's true bronze pressed powder bronzer in sunkissed. Never was a big bronzer person before I started my new job but oh my gosh does it ever make a difference! I'm pretty fair so this literally gives me that sunkissed look with just a touch of color. So start your contouring near your ears and just go directly under your blush. I also put bronzer near my jawline to give a more chiseled look. For eyeshadow I started with the all about shadow quad . I used the lightest color from the mango smoothie duo as my base. I then used a shade from the starlight starbright duo as my medium shade and for the crease I used the shade black honey. The next I tried Yves Saint Laurent dessin du regard waterproof eye pencil to make your eyes pop. I actually got this with one of their perfumes and I absolutely love it. It goes on smooth and it doesn't smudge and it lasts all day. I also got with my perfume YSL mascara volume effet faux cils. Also another new favorite it really grabs each individual eyelash and gives you that full lashes look. Next I experimented with Clinique's superfine liner for brows in soft brown. I already have full brows to begin with but this makes my brows look more finished and really makes them look nice. So I'm glad I added that to my arsenal of make up. To complete your retro glam look you have to have red lips and I used my Clinique long last soft matte lipstick in matte crimson. I love this color and that it lasts a long time. Plus it helps that I have an amazing retro glam dress from Rowena in Edmonton that's a cat dress. How cool is that! So I thought that would just finish the look. Hope you enjoyed this weeks blog!

Tutti Fruity Eyes...

Hey Make Up Lovers,

So a few weeks I was looking on Pinterest for some inspiration and I came across Cristina Otero's Tutti Fruity Self Portrait photo shoot . It was taking make up artistry to a new level and it was all about fruit. Who thought a person can become inspired from fruit. Well I couldn't stop thinking about these neat photos so I had to re-create one of the photos but I switched it up a little bit. The one I chose was with oranges. This week actually didn't take that much effort. I first put on my Clinique perfectly real foundation. I then put NYX's primal in hot orange all over my eye. I then drew on two orange slices on the side of my cheek. I then used NYX liquid liner on my lash line but also used it to place dots all over my eye and cheek and nose. I then used melt cosmetics on my lips in the shade bang bang. absolutely love this shade. who doesn't love a bright orange lipstick for the summer time. I then used an orange as a prop over one of my eyes which is the same as Cristina Otero's photograph. As I have said in previous blogs , don't be afraid to try something different. Be daring , try something new , stretch the norm. Creativity comes in many forms you just have to find it in your own way. Dream big and be Creative no matter what other people say.

Golden Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

This week is about the gold eyes  and a bold lip. I've been patiently waiting for my order from Melt cosmetics to come in and it came just in time for blog day. So let's get started: I first put on my perfectly real foundation by Clinique. Then I used Clinique's sunset glow as my base color and black honey to smoke it out. I like these colors because they are softer and when you want to do a bold lip you should always do a softer look for the eyes so it balances out. I then tried out NYX extreme shine eyeliner in tropical green. This is also a new product and I love the way it glides on smoothly and you don't have to worry about sharpening it. plus its a great color! I find that it lasts all day so always a plus in eyeliner. My mascara is high impact extreme volume which is my favorite mascara. My cheeks are the usual chubbystick cheek balm in robust rhubarb . This has become a staple in my beauty routine. Love the easy application. Bronzer is in sunkissed for the perfect contour. Check out that bold lip from Melt Cosmetics in the color Blitzed! It's the company's newest shade and has become all the rage on Instagram! I can now see what all the fuss is about with Melt. The bold pigmentation in these lipsticks are breath taking and I even tried eating food with my lippie on and to my surprise, my lipcolor did not budge! I always hate it when you're wearing a fun shade of lipstick and then when you eat something it looks like something died in your food because that bright red or bright pink is now all over your food and off your lips. With melt you don't have to worry about this! Which is absolutely fantastic!!! So I give Melt a 5 star rating! I'm glad I bought a few extra shades from them. I bought Shady Lady which is a bright pink and Bang Bang which is bright orange. I'm all set for the summer! Oh also a cute thing Melt does is give you a cute little keychain with a lipstick charm on it and a sticker of their logo. It's always nice to get little extra's. That's all folks until next week!

Frozen Inspired Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers!

Well I was trying to figure out what should be a good look for this week and I'm trying to be a little more creative in my blog and I figured since the movie Frozen was such a big movie and since it was kind of a gloomy day today, I thought I would bring you my version of Elsa from Frozen. I started with the base color of white from the marcelle palette midnight seas but I also went under the eye with this color too. I think used a middle color of light blue from Elf Cosmetics palette in their flawless eyeshadow line in sea escape. Also in this palette I used the navy blue for the crease. I don't use this palette very often because I try to stay away from blues since my eyes are already blue but since it's a frozen look I didn't really have a choice in the matter. For the price of Elf cosmetics this is an alright palette. Generally Elf products are pretty good products. I then used NYX cosmetics liquid liner . I have mentioned their liners in previous blogs and as I said before, everyone needs these liners! They last all day. I also used NYX primals again in hot blue for contouring my cheeks and the line under my lip to make me look chilled. I used annabelle's cosmetics eye pencil to highlight under my eyes , to create icicle tears and used it for a lip liner. I then used lancome's cils booster XL on my lashes to form icicles. Normally that is used for a primer for your lashes to give them a boost but I didn't put any mascara to keep a frozen look. Finally I used Iconic cosmetics for my lips in berry blue. I have a few shades of lipstick from this company and absolutely love it! Hope you enjoyed my version of Elsa! Have a great weekend!!!

Primal Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So today is a wonderful day for many reasons: 1. The sun is shining 2. I have the entire weekend off 3. It's payday therefore it was time to try some new products! I know I have done quite a few soft looks the last few weeks which is good but I thought I would go in the complete opposite direction and try something different. I have always been a fan of high fashion looks with bold colors that are edgy and against the norm of everyday wear. As some of you know I love color and sometimes people question some of my wild lipstick colors. However some of you love the wild lipstick colors. So for those of you like to dare to be different and like bold looks this weeks blog is for you. So now that target is closed there is a limited amount of stores that sells NYX cosmetics. I'm pretty sure its just London Drugs now. Anyways NYX has these BOLD shadows called Primal colors that I've just been dying to try so for the first time using these shadows I am quite impressed with the amount of pigment in it! So far they seem to be long lasting. So I first started with my usual skin care routine with Clinique's amazing 3 step skin care program. I then tried Clinique's new products called turnaround which renews your skin and gives your skin that radiant glow. I used both the serum and the daytime moisturizer. I like the way it makes my skin feel. So it is very good product. I then put my Clinique perfectly real foundation on. Then I broke into my NYX primal colors starting with hot yellow to highlight the inner part of my eyes. Then I continue on the brow bone with the color hot orange. For the base I used hot black and then I went under the eye with hot blue. The black and blue gives your look that dark and edgy look. I then used Lancomes hypnose star for my lashes. I don't use this mascara on a regular basis. I use Clinique's high impact extreme volume mascara which does wonders on your eyes but I thought I would switch it up a bit. Lastly I used another new product that I've been wanting to review but I just haven't had the change because this company's colors are quite bold and so I don't normally wear this extreme of a color but here is Impulse Cosmetics lip color in Daffodil. I have one of their custom made lip palettes that you get to choose what colors will be in your palette. I'm not crazy about the yellow lip color on me but it worked for this bold look. Their palettes come with a lip brush which I found hard to get the extreme pigments onto the brush so in the end I just rubbed my fingers in the color to create that edgy look. I do however like their other colors  and think it would have been better if it was in the lipstick form and not in the palette so if I were to try any of their lip colors I would get it in a different form so that it would be easier to apply. So I hope you enjoyed this different kind of look . Enjoy the sunshine and don't be afraid to try something different. Be Bold !

Soft Pink Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

It's a brand new week and I have another warm look for you today! This week is a rather large mix of products some have been featured before because they have become a bit of a staple and others are brand new and I can't wait to share with you so let's begin! First off I start with my Clinique perfectly real foundation. Normally I just use my fingers to apply but I've started to use brushes more and wow what a difference it makes. I find everything is much smoother when you use the proper tools hehe. A new product I tried for the first time today was Almay's shadowstick that technically is suppose to be for hazel eyes but I think it still looked good with my blue eyes. The colors on the stick was a baby pink and a dark brown. I first used the pink as a base color and then I smoothed it out with the brown around the edges. I then used a bit of Annabelle's twistup eyeshadow crayon in the color pearl to do some highlighting and used it on the inner part of my bottom lashes as a liner and then went under the white with a black khol liner. I used NXY liquid liner on the top lid for my winged look and topped it off with Clinique's power lash feathering mascara which I really like. I then used Clinique's cheek color balm in robust rhubarb which is pretty much my favorite blush . Never used to wear blush before but this has become a staple and I love it. The next new product I tried is Clinique's true bronze pressed powder bronzer in the shade sunkissed. It does it exactly what the shade is called it definately gives you that sunkissed look and I quite enjoy it. starting to get the hang of contouring and I think I will get better as I continue to learn more. I highly recommend that bronzer. Last but not least I used Loreal Paris infallible lipgloss in timeless rose. It really locks in color and stays on even after you eat food so that's an A+ in my books! Hope you are all having a fabulous week. Come back next week it should be extra special!! You won't want to miss it! Good night folks!

Quick Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Sorry I totally missed last weeks blog but I had a very good reason for it. Apply drum roll here... I found a new job!!!! Last week was my first week as the new Clinique Counter Manager so I was learning the ropes of my new job and I absolutely love it. In light of my new job I thought it was fitting to do a look that is completely ALL Clinique products! I also created this look that is quick and perfect for spring and is simple but fresh. So I first started off with Perfectly Real foundation shade 01. It is oil free so it is good for those of us that have combination to oily skin. I love that Clinique's products are 100% hypo-allergenic and free of perfumes. So win win! I then used two different eyeshadow palettes. The first palette I used is apart of our purchase with purchase . Which means when you purchase an item from my counter then you have the opportunity to purchase this giftset for $55. The shadows are a quad which consists of a yellow, orange, green, and brown shades. I only used the first 3 shades which you can see in the picture below. I started off with the base color of the yellow shade then I put the green color underneath my eye and the orange to highlight. I then used colors from the blackberry frost duo which is a light lilac shade and a grey shade for the outer edge of the eye. Then I used Clinique's quickliner in Navy. This is good color is good for people who have blue eye's. If you have a darker blue then it makes the blue in your eyes pop! I tried out their high impact mascara which is good but I actually prefer to used their high impact extreme volume mascara better. The extreme volume gives your eyes that extra boost and really highlights my long lashes. Next I used the chubbystick cheekcolorbalm in robust rhubarb . Oh my goodness! I absolutely love this style of blush! it's in a stick form and glides on super well and I find it's way easier to blend then powder blushes. So I highly encourage you all to try the chubbystick cheek color balm! Last but not least I used the chubbystick baby tiny lipcrayon in poppin poppy. Chubby sticks are my new best friends because they feel amazing on my lips. This one just gives a light tint to my lips and gives them that extra moisture to last me the day. Also a must to carry in your purse! So this look is pretty simple it's light , it's fresh and it's perfect for you that just want to keep things simple.  Hope you have a fabulous day and be sure to come see me with all your Clinique needs. I would be more then happy to help.

Vibrant Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

This week I thought it would be fun to have a more colorful approach to my make up. What better way then to incorporate one of my favorite companies such as Iconic Cosmetics who thrive on those vibrate pigments in their lipsticks that I absolutely love.  But before we get to the lips lets start with the eyes as per usual. So I first I put on my base color which is white in Marcelle's Midnight Seas quad. I like Marcelle because it is hypo-allergenic and 100% perfume free. It also lasts all day so you don't have to worry about it fading away. I then switched to Pixi's Pretty Eye Perfection eye shadow palette which contains 12 shades which consists of lilacs and neutrals. I used one of the lighter lilac shades to blend with the white shade. I also lightly put it underneath my bottom lid to create more depth. I then created a smokey look with a dark purple color. Next I grabbed my Physician's Formula black shimmer eyeliner which I bought in their trio that enhances blue eyes. I used that brand on my bottom lid and then used NYX studio liquid liner in extreme black. As I mentioned in previous blogs I swear by NYX's liquid liners! This is a must have in your make up box.I used Lancome's hypnose star mascara . It's known for its ultra glamorous volume. I use this mascara every now and then to switch it up from my usual hypnose drama. The difference is star has a thicker and more straight wand whereas drama is thiner and is more curvy.  Now to finish this bold look is with Iconic Cosmetic's lipstick in Island Punch. I love this company because they have pretty much every color in the rainbow for those of us who dare to be a little more adventurous in our make up taste. It lasts all night so it's definite go to for a ladies night out :)

Butterfly Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So I was walking through Shoppers Drug Mart yesterday and of course I had to see if there were any sales on cosmetics. Something that caught my eye were some Annabelle products that were not only on sale but it was a 2 for 1 type products taped together. I don't normally go for Annabelle cosmetics but then I thought I could do a look that was mostly all Annabelle products. So here we go. I first put on my Lancome foundation as I always do. Then I put a base color from NYX sex bomb palette of a sheer cream color. I first grab Annabelle's Twistup retractable eyeshadow crayon in the color indigo. I slide that on my top lid and lightly underneath my bottom lid.I found that this color doesn't last very long and that you have to reapply it after a few hours or it will disappear.I Then grabbed Annabelle Instaglam which is a eyeliner and mascara in one tube. The mascara is a blue color called Abyss and the eyeliner is black. I first drew a line on my lid and then three branches out from it. I then dabbed it on the brow bone so it would give it a fun butterfly style. The liner is the kind that looks like a thick marker . It seemed a little dried out. I did however liked the blue mascara. For colored mascara it worked better then others I have used in the past. Next I tried Annabelle's stay sharp self sharpening waterproof lipliner in the color vintage. It is hypo-allergenic and lasts 6 hours. I don't normally use lip liners but this one works really well. Finally I tried out Annabelle's Twist Up retractable lipstick crayon in Absolute. At first I wasn't crazy about the color but the more I wore it the more I liked it. So in the end I did like this product. So out of these new products I liked the lip liner and lipcrayon the best and would probably pass on the eyecrayons and the instaglam liner. Thanks again for taking the time to read these reviews! Hope everyone has a fabulous day! Mwah!

Cat Eyes...

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Sorry I missed last weeks look but don't you worry I'm back! So I will apologize in advance that I am still working on the cat eye's look but it's a working progress. So today I started off with my usual Lancome teint idole ultra 24h liquid foundation. Then I used Revlon's photoready palette in Muse . started with a the light purple as base then a dark purple over lid and a darker purple over crease to give a smokey look. I then used Revlon's photoready palette in Pop art just using the gold color over the brow bone. Next step is NYX black liquid liner and then I go over it with lancome's le crayon khol in black ebony to form the cat eye's look. I always use Lancome's hypnose drama mascara to give that long lashes boost. Finally to keep things simple I used Covergirl's colorlicious lipgloss in plumilicious! Practice makes perfect so I will for sure work on my cat eyes! Meow! Have a fabulous day everyone!

Neutrals...

Hello Make Up Lovers!

So this week's look is all about Neutrals!!! If you're looking for a soft look then this is a good look for you. First off I always start with NYX incredible water proof concealer in yellow under my eyes to get rid of those tired eyes. I just discovered this product about a month ago at Target and love it and never turned back. Tip of the day to get rid of those dark circles under your eyes, use a yellow concealer. Then I cover my face with Lancome's teint idole ultra 24h foundation. Next step, for the base color for my eyelids I used NYX jumbo eye pencil in sparkle nude. I then shaded the sides of my eye with lancome's color design line in colour du jour metallic to give that smokey look. Next I used Lancome 's color design all that brightens which is a gold shade which cleans the look of the eye and brightens your eyes. I love these shades simply because you can wear them everyday. I then went under my bottom lid with Lancome's le crayon khol eyeliner pencil in black ebony. For my top lid I used NYX studio liquid liner in extreme black and then used lancome's hypnose drama mascara. I have talked about some of these products before so I will continue on to lipstick! Today I used Lancome's color design in the shade Love It cream. I simply love this color because it's soft but yet fun all at the same time. To finish the look off I then used Lancome's blush subtil shimmer in plum affaire. Lancome is my number one favorite company because they have great shades, long lasting wear, and it has great quality. NYX cosmetics has also become a favorite this spring because they have colors that just pop and I'm naturally drawn to their shades. Well that's all folks for this week. Stay tuned for next week. I'm thinking something spring? Love ya!

Cleopatra Eyes...

So I was feeling I needed to create a look that was fun and flirty and who doesn't love Cleopatra and her gorgeous make up! For my eyes I first covered my lid with gold shadow with Revlon's Bohemian Photoready palette as the base. This gives you that nice shimmer. Then I put an amber brown shade in the crease which is apart of Sonia Kashuk "jewel of an eye" Eye couture shadow palette. Then I swept the yellow shadow over the brow bone which is in Revlon's Pop Art Photoready palette. Revlon Photoready shadow's are amazing products!! The pigments are bold and last a long time that make you look fierce! Then I used the following liquid eyeliner NYX studio liquid liner in extreme black, NYX glam liner aqua luxe in 24 carats (gold), NYX glam liner aqua luxe in glam azure (blue), then back to the extreme black. The NYX glam liners are only about $5.99 and I own them in every color. Why do I love these liners so much? I love NYX glam liners because they do not smudge, they last all day long and you literally have to scrub them off. That's how well they work! My mascara is Lancome Hypnose Drama. I enjoy Lancome products because they are good quality and it makes my eyelashes look bold and beautiful. I also use Lacome's Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr foundation everyday. It's the only company that has a shade light enough for my skin tone and has great coverage. Last but not least the lipstick I'm wearing is Revlon Colorburst matte balm in Audacious! I love these jumbo lip crayons because they are easy to apply and I love the bright bold colors in this line. It only lasts about half a day so be sure to reapply but other then that It is a great lip brand! I hope you enjoyed the break down on this fabulous Cleopatra inspired look and I hope you come check out next weeks look! Thanks for reading and have a wonderful make up inspired day!

Welcome to Dreaming Of Make Up

Hello my fellow make up lovers,

Welcome to my blog Dreaming of Make Up. Have you ever wanted to know about a certain cosmetic product but you weren't sure whether it is good quality or not? Have you ever wondered the following questions: Does this eyeliner flake or smudge? How long does this lipstick last? Is this lipstick going to make my lips feel dry or sticky? Is it really a 24 hr lipstick or Is it really only a 4hr lipstick? These are all good questions to consider when your making a decision about make up. That's why I created this blog so I can let you know if certain products are worth your time and which ones are a total waste of money. Each week I will have a new make up look, letting you know which products I used and if they are worth your money. Who doesn't love a good cosmetic review? I look forward to this new journey and I'm excited to share with you my favorite products and what not to use. Have a fabulous day!
