Frozen Inspired Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers!

Well I was trying to figure out what should be a good look for this week and I'm trying to be a little more creative in my blog and I figured since the movie Frozen was such a big movie and since it was kind of a gloomy day today, I thought I would bring you my version of Elsa from Frozen. I started with the base color of white from the marcelle palette midnight seas but I also went under the eye with this color too. I think used a middle color of light blue from Elf Cosmetics palette in their flawless eyeshadow line in sea escape. Also in this palette I used the navy blue for the crease. I don't use this palette very often because I try to stay away from blues since my eyes are already blue but since it's a frozen look I didn't really have a choice in the matter. For the price of Elf cosmetics this is an alright palette. Generally Elf products are pretty good products. I then used NYX cosmetics liquid liner . I have mentioned their liners in previous blogs and as I said before, everyone needs these liners! They last all day. I also used NYX primals again in hot blue for contouring my cheeks and the line under my lip to make me look chilled. I used annabelle's cosmetics eye pencil to highlight under my eyes , to create icicle tears and used it for a lip liner. I then used lancome's cils booster XL on my lashes to form icicles. Normally that is used for a primer for your lashes to give them a boost but I didn't put any mascara to keep a frozen look. Finally I used Iconic cosmetics for my lips in berry blue. I have a few shades of lipstick from this company and absolutely love it! Hope you enjoyed my version of Elsa! Have a great weekend!!!

Primal Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

So today is a wonderful day for many reasons: 1. The sun is shining 2. I have the entire weekend off 3. It's payday therefore it was time to try some new products! I know I have done quite a few soft looks the last few weeks which is good but I thought I would go in the complete opposite direction and try something different. I have always been a fan of high fashion looks with bold colors that are edgy and against the norm of everyday wear. As some of you know I love color and sometimes people question some of my wild lipstick colors. However some of you love the wild lipstick colors. So for those of you like to dare to be different and like bold looks this weeks blog is for you. So now that target is closed there is a limited amount of stores that sells NYX cosmetics. I'm pretty sure its just London Drugs now. Anyways NYX has these BOLD shadows called Primal colors that I've just been dying to try so for the first time using these shadows I am quite impressed with the amount of pigment in it! So far they seem to be long lasting. So I first started with my usual skin care routine with Clinique's amazing 3 step skin care program. I then tried Clinique's new products called turnaround which renews your skin and gives your skin that radiant glow. I used both the serum and the daytime moisturizer. I like the way it makes my skin feel. So it is very good product. I then put my Clinique perfectly real foundation on. Then I broke into my NYX primal colors starting with hot yellow to highlight the inner part of my eyes. Then I continue on the brow bone with the color hot orange. For the base I used hot black and then I went under the eye with hot blue. The black and blue gives your look that dark and edgy look. I then used Lancomes hypnose star for my lashes. I don't use this mascara on a regular basis. I use Clinique's high impact extreme volume mascara which does wonders on your eyes but I thought I would switch it up a bit. Lastly I used another new product that I've been wanting to review but I just haven't had the change because this company's colors are quite bold and so I don't normally wear this extreme of a color but here is Impulse Cosmetics lip color in Daffodil. I have one of their custom made lip palettes that you get to choose what colors will be in your palette. I'm not crazy about the yellow lip color on me but it worked for this bold look. Their palettes come with a lip brush which I found hard to get the extreme pigments onto the brush so in the end I just rubbed my fingers in the color to create that edgy look. I do however like their other colors  and think it would have been better if it was in the lipstick form and not in the palette so if I were to try any of their lip colors I would get it in a different form so that it would be easier to apply. So I hope you enjoyed this different kind of look . Enjoy the sunshine and don't be afraid to try something different. Be Bold !

Soft Pink Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

It's a brand new week and I have another warm look for you today! This week is a rather large mix of products some have been featured before because they have become a bit of a staple and others are brand new and I can't wait to share with you so let's begin! First off I start with my Clinique perfectly real foundation. Normally I just use my fingers to apply but I've started to use brushes more and wow what a difference it makes. I find everything is much smoother when you use the proper tools hehe. A new product I tried for the first time today was Almay's shadowstick that technically is suppose to be for hazel eyes but I think it still looked good with my blue eyes. The colors on the stick was a baby pink and a dark brown. I first used the pink as a base color and then I smoothed it out with the brown around the edges. I then used a bit of Annabelle's twistup eyeshadow crayon in the color pearl to do some highlighting and used it on the inner part of my bottom lashes as a liner and then went under the white with a black khol liner. I used NXY liquid liner on the top lid for my winged look and topped it off with Clinique's power lash feathering mascara which I really like. I then used Clinique's cheek color balm in robust rhubarb which is pretty much my favorite blush . Never used to wear blush before but this has become a staple and I love it. The next new product I tried is Clinique's true bronze pressed powder bronzer in the shade sunkissed. It does it exactly what the shade is called it definately gives you that sunkissed look and I quite enjoy it. starting to get the hang of contouring and I think I will get better as I continue to learn more. I highly recommend that bronzer. Last but not least I used Loreal Paris infallible lipgloss in timeless rose. It really locks in color and stays on even after you eat food so that's an A+ in my books! Hope you are all having a fabulous week. Come back next week it should be extra special!! You won't want to miss it! Good night folks!

Quick Eyes

Hello Make Up Lovers,

Sorry I totally missed last weeks blog but I had a very good reason for it. Apply drum roll here... I found a new job!!!! Last week was my first week as the new Clinique Counter Manager so I was learning the ropes of my new job and I absolutely love it. In light of my new job I thought it was fitting to do a look that is completely ALL Clinique products! I also created this look that is quick and perfect for spring and is simple but fresh. So I first started off with Perfectly Real foundation shade 01. It is oil free so it is good for those of us that have combination to oily skin. I love that Clinique's products are 100% hypo-allergenic and free of perfumes. So win win! I then used two different eyeshadow palettes. The first palette I used is apart of our purchase with purchase . Which means when you purchase an item from my counter then you have the opportunity to purchase this giftset for $55. The shadows are a quad which consists of a yellow, orange, green, and brown shades. I only used the first 3 shades which you can see in the picture below. I started off with the base color of the yellow shade then I put the green color underneath my eye and the orange to highlight. I then used colors from the blackberry frost duo which is a light lilac shade and a grey shade for the outer edge of the eye. Then I used Clinique's quickliner in Navy. This is good color is good for people who have blue eye's. If you have a darker blue then it makes the blue in your eyes pop! I tried out their high impact mascara which is good but I actually prefer to used their high impact extreme volume mascara better. The extreme volume gives your eyes that extra boost and really highlights my long lashes. Next I used the chubbystick cheekcolorbalm in robust rhubarb . Oh my goodness! I absolutely love this style of blush! it's in a stick form and glides on super well and I find it's way easier to blend then powder blushes. So I highly encourage you all to try the chubbystick cheek color balm! Last but not least I used the chubbystick baby tiny lipcrayon in poppin poppy. Chubby sticks are my new best friends because they feel amazing on my lips. This one just gives a light tint to my lips and gives them that extra moisture to last me the day. Also a must to carry in your purse! So this look is pretty simple it's light , it's fresh and it's perfect for you that just want to keep things simple.  Hope you have a fabulous day and be sure to come see me with all your Clinique needs. I would be more then happy to help.
